Marketing Manager, Web and Digital

The Position:

The SU Marketing team plays an important leadership role in advancing the company by evangelizing the current and future role of exponential technologies and an abundance mindset. The marketing manager is critical to this effort. S/he defines, executes, and measures customer-backed experiences, tests, web initiatives, and business strategies to drive conversion, revenue, and community growth across SU’s web properties. The individual in this role leads cross-departmental and cross-functional efforts which increase our understanding of the ways that customer preferences and desires correlate with our current products and capabilities. In both direct and indirect ways, the individual in this position is expected to help the company drive profitable revenue.

Some of the Position’s Responsibilities:

  • Raise month-over-month user engagement, in ways which expand the B2B revenue pipeline as well as increase B2C program application & event registration rates.
  • Increase traffic to the corporate website, with the goal of growing our customer base and expanding the number of people affiliated with the SU ecosystem.
  • Deliver reliable and valid information to internal stakeholders, which improves marketing and sales effectiveness, informs the evolution of current products, and influences the development of future products.
  • Teach others—develop digital literacy across teams, and within the SU community—by sharing best practices, test results, and campaign results.
  • Implement analytical tools (including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Webmaster Tools Pro), and define, establish, and report on website performance indicators & operational metrics.

Our Requirements (you must have):

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years of web marketing experience, including experiences with personal responsibility for web analytics, search engine marketing, paid advertising, and creating web pages and landing pages.
  • A working professional knowledge of both HTML and CSS.

About You (we’d like it if you have):

  • Past experience with the Mezzanine content management system.
  • Demonstrated past success directing A/B testing processes.
  • Familiarity with Marketo or similar marketing automation platforms.
  • Held positions in organizations with multiple product lines and multiple audiences.
  • A demonstrable familiarity with both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-customer (B2C) sales environments.
  • A demonstrable history of utilizing data to influence decision-making.
  • A proven record as a project manager, demonstrated by managing multiple, competing priorities of high importance.
  • Track record of positively impacting business metrics through web development and design.
  • Experience managing a complex web environment— multiple audiences, multiple sites, multiple products.
  • Understanding of enterprise-class best practices for web marketing and design, while possessing the flexibility to deal with the evolving needs of a startup.
