Admissions Reader (Remote Option within the SF Bay Area)

At Singularity University, our Executive Program (EP), a six-day immersive classroom experience, examines how key converging technologies will shape our future, and explores ethical leadership in a world of rapid change. Being a part of the Admissions Team for the EP means you will have the chance to help select each class of global leaders who will have a desire to have a positive impact at scale.

This is a part-time, on-demand position.  Work days and work hours will vary with demand. Compensation starts at $25/hr. Admissions Readers will need to visit the SU Campus in Mountain View 1-2 times per month (travel costs not covered). 

Some of the Position’s Responsibilities:

  • Learn and interpret SU’s admissions criteria.
  • Read and evaluate applications against our admissions criteria, including applicant strengths and weaknesses and potential contributions to the program.
  • Conduct research as necessary to provide admission recommendations for each program.
  • Work closely with the Director of Admissions to assist in implementing diversity and class composition goals for each program.
  • Analyze needs and offer feedback for improving application evaluation processes.
  • Provide weekly check-in summary to the Director of Admissions to update on reading status and challenges encountered.
  • Engage in admission training as required.

Our Requirements (you must have):

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Be at least 18 years of old and eligible to work in the U.S.

About you (we’d like if you have):

  • Previous work experience in admissions, counseling, and/or research roles.
  • Well-developed computer skills and demonstrated ability to adapt to new software programs.
  • Strong detail orientation.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent reading comprehension skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with other individuals and teams.
