Vice President of Marketing

The ideal candidate is a seasoned marketing leader with a track record driving business growth, and with a strong point of view about customer-centric and data-centric approaches to transform the current marketing organization.

As VP of Marketing, you will lead the marketing function to support our robust portfolio of digital, B2B, and B2C products. You will be responsible for engineering go-to-market strategies, product marketing, corporate branding, customer and competitive intelligence insights, and ensuring that sales teams have the right strategic messaging, information, tools and training to win. You will leverage an understanding of the technical and pedagogical complexity of our offerings, and translate these into value storytelling across a variety of audiences and effectively teach others to do so as well.

This high impact role requires strong people management skills, a high level of comfort with technology and strong business acumen. Our ideal candidate possesses the agility necessary to oscillate between tactical and strategic projects, and is able to implement creative solutions to solve a variety of marketing/ business challenges in a fast paced environment.


  • Develop a high-performing marketing organization that will enable the company to scale efficiently.
  • Drive continuous experimentation in marketing tactics to support the growth of Singularity’s businesses.
  • Create and refine go-to-market strategies for each of Singularity’s businesses.
  • Further develop Singularity University’s brand on the forefront of corporate innovation, executive education and entrepreneurship globally.
  • Establish a consumer marketing capability.
  • Strengthen Singularity University’s content marketing engine.
  • Build strategic relationships with reseller and licensing partners around the world.

You need to have:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least five years of experience managing all or part of the marketing function.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in marketing, business development, sales, and/or general management.

We’d like it if you have:

  • An advanced degree. An MBA or advanced degree in marketing is especially preferred.
  • Experience forecasting, budgeting, and reporting to senior leadership.
  • A desire to push boundaries and reinvent executive education.
  • Previous work experience:
    • Within entrepreneurial, fast moving, and rapidly changing organizations.
    • With executive education, innovation strategy, and/or advanced technologies.
  • A proven history of success:
    • Advocating for customers.
    • Analyzing complex business problems.
    • Leading and inspiring individuals to work together, and working across functions.

The position’s primary work location is Mountain View, CA.
